In the LastWar Season 5 pre-season, the undefined event runs a block-placement puzzle — and your score helps decide where your whole warzone spawns on the new map. What Gold Prospecting decides
Season 5 ("Wild West") merges eight warzones onto one shared map, with eight exclusive undefineds arranged around the central undefined capital region. undefined sets the order in which warzones get to pick:
- Every commander's puzzle result feeds their warzone's score — specifically the total steps of its top 100 commanders.
- That produces the Gold Prospecting ranking. Higher-ranked warzones choose their spawn area first, and can even swap with lower-ranked ones.
- During the undefined stage, your Warzone President makes the actual pick from the areas still open.
The payoff for ranking high is a spawn with a straight line to the center instead of a far corner — shorter marches to the best cities and the capital all season. Rank low and you spend the season reacting from the edge.
How the puzzle works
It's a Tetris-style line-clear puzzle, not a slide or match-3 game:
- Drag the given blocks onto the grid.
- Fill a complete row or column and those blocks clear.
- Some blocks hold gems — Blue, Yellow, Green, and Red Gem. Clearing them banks the gems toward each stage's collection goal.
Scoring rewards the fewest steps (block placements) — time is only a tiebreaker, so there's no clock pressure. The skill is planning placements that chain row and column clears together instead of burning pieces one at a time.
Why practice off the clock
With only 3 in-game attempts a day, there's no room to "learn on the job" — a wasted attempt is a wasted shot at your warzone's ranking. Practicing the format first means you already know how pieces clear lines and how to think in fewest-steps before it counts.
