How to Run a Fair Alliance Raffle in LastWar
Run provably fair alliance raffles and tournament draws in LastWar with the free Random Picker. Visible animation, screenshot-ready proof, zero doubt.
Picking a VIP passenger for tonight's train, choosing tomorrow's train conductor, or running a fair giveaway — these all need a random pick that nobody can argue with afterward. The Random Picker handles it: a free, in-browser tool built into LastWar Atlas that pulls real members from any alliance and runs a visible, animated draw everyone can watch live. The built-in screenshot export drops a clean winner card you can paste straight into in-game chat as proof — no "trust me, I rolled it" required.
Anything that should be random and visibly random. If two officers can't agree, the picker is the answer.
How it works
Open the Alliance Random Picker in your browser. Add players one of two ways:
- Bulk-add by alliance tag — type the alliance abbreviation, hit add, and every current member drops into the pool.
- Search by name — for cross-alliance events or hand-picked entrants.
Hit spin. The reel animates through every entry and lands on the winner. Everyone watching the screen-share sees the same animation hit the same name at the same moment — that's the "provably fair" part. No hidden roll, no off-camera reroll.
You can save the winner card as a screenshot for the alliance Discord, or click the result to jump straight to that player's base on the map.
What makes it fair
The whole point is that nobody has to take an officer's word for it. Three things make the draw verifiable:
- The pool is pulled live from current alliance data, so the entries are who you say they are.
- The animation is the roll — there's nothing happening off-screen.
- Caps and de-duplication are enforced automatically (one entry per player, hard cap to prevent bloated pools).
Tips for clean draws
- Stream it. Share your screen on Discord before you spin. The point is for members to see the result, not hear it.
- Lock the pool first. Add everyone you intend to include, then announce "pool is closed" before clicking spin. No edits after the lock.
- Save the screenshot. It's the receipt. Post it in the announcements channel along with the winner ping.
- For multi-winner draws, spin once, remove the winner, spin again. The animation makes each pick its own moment.
That's the whole tool. No setup, no account required. Open it, add the pool, spin.
