"Can we take them?" is the question every alliance officer asks before a war. The Alliance Battle Predictor answers it: pick two alliances, get a head-to-head verdict with a confidence score and a per-category breakdown. Free, no login, and the URL is shareable so you can drop it in officer chat.
What it actually compares
The predictor doesn't just look at total power — total power double-counts troops and inflates with non-combat investment. Instead, it scores nine separate categories and weights them based on the matchup:
- Army Power — sum of every member's troop strength. The single biggest signal.
- Non-Army Power — hero, tech, weapon, and dominator depth. The "multiplier quality" of an alliance.
- Member Strength — every member's power raised to the 1.3 power, then summed. The exponent is deliberate: a single 100M-power player counts for more than four 25M-power players combined. Whales win wars.
- Activity — % of members seen in the last 7 days. Inactive members don't fight.
- Combat Experience — total army kills across the roster.
- Spending Tier — average SVIP level across the roster, with SVIP 5+ whales counted twice. Heavy spenders have better heroes, gear, and troop tiers, and the model leans into that.
- Leadership — R4 slots filled, officer roles assigned.
- Career Composition — War Leaders vs Engineers vs unset.
- Territory Control — cities held and presidency status across warzones.
Why the confidence caps at 85%
Battle outcomes depend on factors we can't see from scans: individual hero lineups, troop tier mixes, equipment quality, drone chips, active government buffs. The predictor uses every signal it has, but it won't pretend it's certain when it isn't. A 72% verdict means "the data says A wins, but stranger things have happened."
How to use it
- Open the Battle Predictor.
- Search and select your alliance on one side, the target on the other.
- Read the verdict banner, then check the tale-of-the-tape bars to see why.
- Disagree with a category weight? Drag the sliders and re-score live.
- Copy the URL — your officers see the same comparison.
If both alliances haven't been scanned recently, you'll see a stale-data warning. The verdict still runs; just trust it less.
